Messing with Panoramas
Still messing around with my photo stitching software. Here are a few shots from around downtown. The sunrise photo comes from three different images. The condos and the shot of the USS Wisconsin (on the left) are made from four different photos, and the broadside view of the Wisconsin comes from six photos stitched together. The wind was pretty gusty today so I had to hold my tripod to keep it steady. You can see that a few areas of the photos are a little shaky looking. Double-click on the image to enlarge it.

Full Moon
Last night's full moon was pretty cool. Here are a couple of photos from our back deck. There is quite a bit of 'light pollution" in our neighborhood so I think the black & white photo comes out a little better.
This morning the moon was still up, so it was a race down the interstate to get to work and try to get a couple of pics before it disappeared. The view of the moon setting over the giant fuel tanks in South Norfolk was just fantastic. But it probably wouldn't have been a good idea to stop the car in the middle of I-664!

Seashore State Park
Seashore State Park in Virginia Beach is a great asset for those living in this area. This morning I spent a chilly hour trying to catch a few quick pics.
