Carolina Dusk

I was a few minutes late to catch the sunset, but I think these shots will suffice.

Dylan Out on the Town

The whole fam-damily headed out for breakfast this morning before Margaret and I headed back home. Here are my last couple of photos of Dylan, at least until I see him again, and one of his proud momma!

A Dylan Sky

Today, while I was driving home from work, the word arrived that Dylan Matthew Stahl was in the process of being born. The Lord was obviously pleased because the setting sun over the Elizabeth River and the Jordan Bridge was showing off with a fantastic art show in the sky - a "Dylan" sky!

Norfolk? Or San Francisco?

A very foggy morning here in that city by the "other" bay. Coming across the Berkley Bridge to work this morning I could not see a single building in downtown. Here are a few shots from my 8th floor office. In the last picture, you can barely make out the new Harbor Heights condo building.

Rainy Day in Norfolk

Thursday afternoon and the rain is really coming down! The NOAA weather report is calling for rain through Saturday. Not too many folks out and about right now!

Oak Lake Park

Each day on my way to and from work I pass by Oak Lake Park, a park not too far from my house. Yesterday I was zipping past at 65 mph and the sunset on the trees on the far side of the lake was simply unbelieveable! Today, being Veterans Day, I had the day off and was able to head over to the park to catch the sunset. I took Sammy with me and he agrees, it was well worth the trip! The next three posts have some photos from our jaunt to the park.

Dusk over the River

Coming home from Williamsburg the sunset over the mouths of the Elizabeth and Jeames Rivers was absolutely gorgeous! Unfortunately we speeding along the bridge tunnel at 65 mph and couldn't exactly get a photo! As soon as we crossed the bridge we pulled into the Sunset Marina in Ocean View and got these pics. If you look really, really close, you can see Venus to the right of the moon.

Fall Foliage in Williamsburg

Margaret and I were able to get up to Williamsburg for a few hours this afternoon and I got a few shots of the leaves starting to do their 'fall' thing!
