Sunrise

This was the sunrise from my office window one day last week. I really like that reflection in the Norfolk City Hall building. Using the full extent of the zoom lens helps to give it that "world's on fire" red color.

Up on the Roof

Had a chance the other day to go up on the roof of my office building and got to see some fall color along Granby Street.

Along the Skyline Drive

A few photos from the southern section of Shenandoah National Park.

The James River

The James River crosses over the Blue Ridge Parkway at mile post 64. The upper left photo shows a foot bridge across the James. My brother Rich has been walking the Appalachian Trail fro the last six months or so and should be crossing that foot bridge in the next few weeks on his way to completing the trail in Daleville, Virginia.

Blue Ridge Parkway

The Blue Ridge Parkway begins near Waynesboro, Virginia, at the southern end of the Shenandoah Parkway, and continues for 469 miles south in North Carolina, terminating in the Great Smokey Mountains. These photos come from the northern section of the parkway, between Waynesboro and the James River.

The stitching software didn't do the greatest job, but you get the idea...
